Officers Called To Check On High School Student, Things Weren’t What They Seemed

Police Officers

Police officers in southwest Oklahoma were sent to a home to check on the welfare of a high school student.

When they arrived at the house, they found that the family had been through several horrible events, which left the single mother struggling to make ends meet. To top things off, the family’s home had recently been burglarized.

The officers knew they had to so something to help the family, so they worked together to gather food and gift cards for the struggling family. Recruit Officer Jon Hawkins, MSgt. Stanley McMullen and MSgt. Jimmy Kennedy gathered a collection of food and contacted Walmart, who provided the family with the gift card. Retired 1st Sgt. Johnson provided the family with groceries out of his own pocket!

In addition, the officers repaired the door that had been broken during the burglary.
