Next Time You Go To The Grocery Store, Remember This Warning

But as one TV show recently discovered, turning our backs on our purses, for even a few seconds, can be dangerous.

We all do it — leave our purses in the seat of the shopping cart. We think, I’m just taking a step to the right of the aisle to grab a bundle of bananas, or we leave it there, with our backs to it, while we pick out the perfect avocado. But as one TV show recently discovered, turning our backs on our purses, for even a few seconds, can be dangerous.

Inside Edition recently set up surveillance at grocery stores across the country. The surveillance videos caught purse thieves red handed. One think they noticed surprised them — most of the purse thieves worked in pairs!

One thief may work to distract you while the other cleans out your purse.

Law enforcement is warning shoppers to be extra vigilant. Keep your purse on your shoulder, zip it tightly and use the shopping cart seat belt and loop it around the handle several times and most importantly; always keep your purse in your line of sight!
