An 8-year-old boy is a role model for us all after going out of his way to help a neighbor.

Maurice Adams Jr. asked his mother to pull over when he noticed an elderly woman struggling up some steps in Milledgeville, Georgia.

With his mom’s permission, the boy exited the vehicle and step by step, the two were on their way. Maurice patiently helped her lift her walker, keeping a hand on her for support.

According to WSB-TV, the young man and his mother were talking about the woman as they approached her. Then, Maurice spoke up.

“Can I go out there and help her up the steps?” he said.

The act of service was caught on film and quickly caught fire, impressing people with each of its 24,000 plus shares.

The unidentified elderly woman thanked him with a hug and a short message we can all agree with.
