Facebook Post Goes Viral After A Manager Said This To A U.S. Soldier

West Virginia resident Ron Yates, who volunteered at a Sheetz food stand during a local festival, recently posted this online after witnessing an encounter between a company manager and a U.S. soldier. Read his post below.

Ron Yates‎

Dear Sheetz.. today while volunteering time at your Sheetz tent at The 80th Mountain State Forest Festival in Elkins WV I witnessed an act of pure kindness and true compassion from your district 38 manager James Friel. Your Sheetz tent was set up next to the West Virginia National guard tent and across from the Randolph County Humane Society tent and kennel.

SGT Brandon Lowe (pictured above ) went over to the kennel and took a dog out on a leash just to spend a little time with him because no one had come along to adopt him. James Friel walked over and says do you want the dog and SGT Lowe says yes I do .so James says it’s yours and walks to the humane society kennel tent and takes 80 dollars of his own money and buys it. I took this picture afterwards and SGT Lowe says he named the dog Skamp.

So I want to thank Sheetz for being such a great company. James Friel for being such a great person and SGT Brandon Lowe for his dedication and service to our country.

The post has since gone viral and for good reason.

This is the best kind of marketing there is: a true, patriotic act, from the kindness of your heart. Well done Sheetz (and manager James Friel).

Pass it on.
