They Were Enjoying A Dip In The Pool, Until They Got An Unexpected Visitor

The African heat can be brutal, much more brutal than anything we’ve experienced here in the states. It’s a good thing there are places like the Elephant Sands in Botswana that has a pool for guests and locals to cool off.

And by ‘locals’, I mean the wildlife.

Guests have the option to stay in the main chalet or in one of the ten safari-tents. In the safari-tents, it’s not uncommon to be visited by some of the wildlife there.

Some guests at the Elephant Sands was visited by an actual elephant, and managed to get a video of it. Nobody made a sound or any sudden movements as the elephant approached the very pool they were swimming in, drank from it, and walked away.

That has to be one of the most thrilling experiences one can have. And just to mention, the pool water is, thankfully, not chlorinated so it’s not harmful for any wildlife. When we drink chlorinated water it leads to an unpleasant trip to the bathroom, just imagine if an elephant drank it.
