The Anderson County Animal Hospital recently published a heartfelt Facebook post which has quickly gone viral. In it, the hospital’s doctor describes a scene that was captured by his son at a local Chick-Fil-A restaurant.
My son just sent me a picture that brought tears to my eyes. Oak Ridge Chick Fil A has prepared a fallen warrior table in their restaurant. I can’t believe how amazing I feel this is. With tears streaming down my cheeks, I sit with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and inadequacy, considering the freedoms I enjoy, purchased through pain and suffering and death of brave soldiers.
I have participated in the Fallen Soldier Table or Missing Soldier Table ceremony many times, and am broken anew each time. Thank you so much, Chick Fil A, for doing something this beautiful. I am truly humbled.
