This is the type of story that won’t make headlines, but it’s a story worth seeing. Annette Ingraffea Horner, a social services program coordinator at the Salvation Army in Manatee County, Florida, recently shared this public Facebook post. Read it below.
Meet Officer Nuttall with the Bradenton Police Dept. Officer Nuttall met a homeless family on the street today. The mother was crying because they had no place to stay with a dog. Her little boy was crying because he was hungry. Officer Nuttal took the family out for a hot meal of Pizza; got the Humane Society to keep the dog for the night; got them a hotel room for the night; then came to us at the Salvation Army to see if we had a place for them to stay when they have to leave the hotel in the morning. We are taking care of them.
Thank you, Officer Nuttall, for being a fine example of human kindness and for all you do!

In order to counter the mainstream media’s attempts to vilify hard working law enforcement officers, millions of Americans have been sharing their great experiences with police officers around the country, and thanks to social media, pro-police support appears to be on the rise.
Let’s do our part and continue to share this story to show the side of police officers that the evening news won’t report on.
Pass it on.
