80-year-old Eugene Bostick from Fort Worth, Texas retired 15 years ago. But this man isn’t one to let time go wasted. Instead, he started on a journey to help dogs in need.

It all started when Bostick realized how many dogs were being neglected. He told The Dodo,

“People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live.”

Bostick didn’t have the heart to see these animals suffer- so he took them in and raised them as his own. Right now he cares for nine dogs who have free range of his property. But he didn’t stop there.

The man even fashioned a train for the pups, hauled by a tractor, which takes them on scenic trips around town.

Bostick said,

“Whenever they hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited. They all come running and jump in on their own. They’re ready to go.”

The man finds happiness in bringing joy to the once abused dogs. He plans to keep spreading the love as long as he can.
