88-year-old Rosina hasn’t seen her 96-year-old sister for many years. She lives alone in Detroit, Michigan while her estranged sister lives just four hours away in Toronto, Canada, so Rosina’s grandson, Antonio Corsi, decided to take matters into his own hands and organize a reunion between the two elderly ladies.
In the home video, Rosina can be seen puttering around her house with her little dog, preparing for her trip before finally loading into the car with her grandson, where the two will make the four hour drive into Canada, all for the sake of family.
“When’s the last time you saw your sister?” Antonio asks as the two make the drive.
“I don’t know. I can’t remember,” she admits. “But she doesn’t know we’re coming.”
The two finally make it to her sister’s home in Toronto and Rosina makes her way up the front steps, ready to surprise her sibling, but when she opens the door, a look of pleasant confusion falls across the woman’s face.
“My eyes… I can’t see very good,” the woman admits once the door is opened.
“Yes, but you should know who I am,” Rosina retorts as her sister giver her a kind-hearted shrug. “I’m your sister!”
The woman is still confused, “where is she?” she asks, looking around.
“Right here. It’s me!” Rosina says.
“Are you Rosina? Rosina!” the woman exclaims, finally recognizing her long lost sister.
The two embrace and go inside, poking fun at each other’s age and looks before sitting down together to catch up, surrounded by old family photos and happy despite the initial confusion.
Go ahead and watch the reunion yourself – it’s sure to bring a smile to your face and may even be a look into the future of you and your siblings!
