These Girls Have Something In Common And You’ll Never Guess By Looking At Their Pictures

What may be boring common sense to the field of science has the world flabbergasted over these two sisters.

Take a quick glance as these two and you’d never decipher that they’re related. Hell, if you went through the trouble of analyzing all of their facial features you still wouldn’t be able to find the similarities.

Lucy and Maria are biracial twins from the UK. Lucy is the one with the fair-skin and Maria is the one with the darker. Their father is fair-skinned and their mother is half-Jamaican.

Throughout their entire lives, they’ve struggled to convince people that they are twins, let alone related. They sometimes have show their birth certificates as proof. Even their parents were surprised by the vast differences in features when they were born in 1997.

Lucky explained to the NYPost, “It was such a shock for her because obviously things like skin color don’t show up on scans before birth,” Lucy said. “So she had no idea that we were so different. When the midwife handed us both to her, she was just speechless.”

Most twins often struggle with the feeling of their individuality as most can’t be told apart by society. Lucy and Maria never experienced this problem since people can’t believe they’re related in the first place.

“We were in the same class at infant school, but no one ever had a problem telling us apart.” “Most twins look like two peas in a pod — but Maria and I couldn’t look more different if we tried. We don’t even look like we have the same parents, let alone having been born at the same time.”

Though their lives encounter much confusion, they take pride in how different they look from one another.
