Mechanics in Poole Keynes in the Cotswolds England were puzzled when an elderly driver brought in her Honda Civic claiming it wouldn’t go over 40mph. The mechanics were astonished to find that the reason for the car’s problems was that a squirrel had hidden nuts in the engine.
The nuts were carefully hidden inside the air filter of the car, which made it so that not enough oxygen was getting into the pistons.
The mechanic and garage owner David Evans, said that he had never seen anything like it, “It was rammed solid with nuts.”
He went on to add that he had been doing the job for 18 years and never seen anything like it.
“The animal had been getting into the garage, where she parked the car, and had been climbing right inside the engine bay and squeezing himself into the air filter.”
