Dogs are one of the smartest animals on earth. They can take commands and solve pretty complex problems. However, just like people, smarts can sometimes get them into trouble.
In this video by the youtuber Rodd Scheinerman, the little dog Lucy is on a mission. There are tasty chicken nuggets in a piping hot toaster oven about 3 feet from the floor, and Lucy is going to get to them by any means necessary.
Lucy’s plan is a 4 step process. The first step is to pull out the dining room chair to give her a surface to jump onto. Next is to open the toasted oven. Even though Lucy doesn’t have thumbs, a few dextrous paw flicks does the trick.
The next step is the most ingenious. She knocks the pan onto the cold tile floor so she doesn’t burn herself on the oven pan or the nuggets. This clearly took some forethought. Of course, step 4 is to eat!
