When someone asks about your profession, a one word answer is usually good enough. However, after hearing this pastor’s explanation, you might want to offer a bit more detail.
The situation that prompted this amazing response was pretty average. The man was sitting next to a woman in the airport when they started talking. She asked “What do you do for a living?”
This is a totally normal question, and the man could’ve simply responded with “pastor”. Instead of that, he claimed that he worked with “a global enterprise that provided hospitals, homeless shelters, hospices, marriage programs, orphanages, and educational programs to every part of the world”.
Of course the woman was impressed, and her “wow” was so loud that it caught the attention of the people nearby.
The man’s description of “pastor” was completely spot on. Next time someone asks what your job is, get creative. You never know, you might open their eyes to see things in a whole new light.
