Rick Perry’s Mugshot Was Made Into A T-Shirt, And You Won’t Believe Who’s Behind It

After being indicted on felony charges, Texas Governor Rick Perry’s mugshot made it’s way around the net…and now has found its way onto a T-shirt. So who’s the genius mastermind that’s cashing in on this the governor’s grill? He is.

The shirts are being sold by RickPAC, a PAC that supports Rick Perry. The caption underneath the mugshot mentions Perry’s efforts on the southern border, while featuring Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg on the other side.

The shirt highlights the irony of the charges by distinguishing between the wanted (Perry) and guilty (Rosemary Lehmberg).

The rift between the two was fueled when Lehmberg, who as the county’s DA also oversaw the Public Integrity Unit, was caught driving while intoxicated in 2013 but refused to resign.

Perry, not wanting to throw public tax payer money to unfit leadership, then veto’d $7.5 million in funding to her unit, stating:

“The person charged with ultimate responsibility of that unit has lost the public’s confidence.”

This veto led led to his recent felony charges of “abuse of official capacity.” Most conservatives and many democrats, however, agree that the charges are completely unjustified, as one of his prime duties as governor to do just that — pass or veto bills as he sees fit.

If you’d like to get your hands on one of the t-shirts, you can do so at the RickPAC website where they’ll cost you $25 a pop.
