Elderly woman couldn’t remember her best friends name. But her response? Priceless.

What does a lifetime of friendship look like?

Sally and Becky were friends for over 50 years. That number alone is hard to imagine. The pair was inseparable. They did everything together.

But like all those blessed with a long life, the two noticed that they weren’t the spry young things they once were.

Despite the changes, one thing remained true. They loved each other. And nothing could sever that bond.

Unijokes posted this funny story about two friends who grew old together.

Here’s what happened.

Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades. Over the years they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures. Lately, their activities had been limited to playing cards a few times a week.

One day when playing cards, one looked at the other and said, “Now don’t get mad at me. I know we’ve been friends a long time, but I just can’t think of your name. I’ve thought and thought, but I can’t remember it.

Please tell me what your name is.” Her friend glared at her. For at least three minutes she just stared and glared. Finally she said, “How soon do you need to know?”

Oh dear.

Along with old age, sometimes comes a handful of trouble.

But if you’re lucky enough to have a life-long friend, they will forgive you if you become a bit forgetful–for they are no one to judge!

Instead of feeling guilt, share laughter. If you can’t remember something, then take it as your cue to create new memories.
