Now here’s an interesting piece of technology, a plastic that can be molded and manipulated to anything you want.
It’s called Plasticmake (polycaprolactone) and it’s a non-toxic and bio-degradable. It’s easy to use, as well. Just add some Plasticmake pellets into hot water and it should eventually turn into a translucent, malleable substance ready for molding.
Once you have your shape, place it in cold water and it will solidify and retain its white color. The hardened plastic is very durable, able to withstand high amounts of pressure and still retain it’s shape.
If you want to change the way your mold looks, simply put it back in hot water and do the process over again.
Plasticmake is great for do-it-yourself projects and home improvements, but it’s also great as a child’s toy. They’re safe, encourages creativity and introduces to children how a substance reacts differently under hot or cold temperatures.
