Cop Captures One-In-A-Million Shot That’ll Make You Jump Out Your Seat

Thunderstorms can be quite beautiful when seen at a distance. The rhythmic pitter patter of the rain combined with occasional dull rumble of thunder can also lull you to sleep pretty easily if you let it.

However, the key words here are seen at a distance. Most of those lightning strikes we see are hundred of miles away. Lightning strikes up close are horrifying at best and downright fatal at worst.

This video shows just a snippet of nature’s fury. Apparently, the dashcam of a police car caught an entire lightning strike just a few meters away from the front of the car.

The officers are ridiculously lucky that the lightning decided to strike the road and not their car, especially given how much lightning loves materials like metal.

If you’re ever in a storm that’s as violent as this one, stay in the car, roll up the windows, and and don’t touch the metal frame of the car (like the windowsill).

Also if you’re quick enough to catch it on tape, be sure to send it over to us!
