A Spear Fisher Was Hunting For Lionfish When Something Terrifying Caught His Eye

Spearfisher Zack Spurlock was hunting down lion fish in Port Canaveral, Florida, when he saw something that would make anyone flee in terror. Instead of turning around and heading to the boat, he decided to grab his waterproof Go-Pro camera and capture a shot to share with the world.

During the routine dive, Spurlock spotted a Great White shark casual swimming alongside him. When the shark turns towards him, that’s when reality kicked in and he realized that there’s a chance of becoming shark food if he didn’t act swiftly.

He put his camera down and stuck his spear out. Miraculously, the great white shark got the message and did an about-face and swam away.

Spurlock then swam back to his boat safely, with a memory that’ll stick with him for the rest of his life. All while holding a bag of lion fish he had previously captured.
