It’s a well known fact that dogs are extremely loyal towards their adoptive human families. But that loyalty doesn’t only extend to humans. In this video, a rhodesian ridgeback puppy named Raina camped patiently across the room while her best friend Ruxxa underwent a critical surgery.
Ruxxa the cheetah was born with a crippling leg abnormality in his front legs. If the abnormality was left untreated, it could’ve severely impacted Ruxxa’s ability to walk. Raina stayed during the entire surgery and even watched over Ruxxa while he came out of sedation.
The two were paired together as companions since they were 5 weeks old after Ruxxa’s mother rejected him. The two took to one another instantly.
The surgery went swimmingly, and Ruxxa is expected to make a good recovery soon. The two of them won’t be running about any time soon, but they both seem to be in good health and are enjoying eachother’s company.
