Earlier this week footage of Hamas militants firing 15 Qassam rockets simultaneously into Israel surfaced on the web, all of which were spectacularly intercepted by Israel’s missile defense system, Iron Dome.
The stunning footage was captured and posted on a pro-Israel YouTube channel, Sin.
It is believed that the firing of 15 rockets simultaneously was an attempt by Palestinian militants to “outsmart” the Iron Dome defense, which successfully intercepts roughly 90% of missile strikes aimed towards Israel.
While having to fire missiles is never a good thing, having the ability to prevent unnecessary loss of civilian life in such fashion is truly remarkable.
