Judge Goes Berserk After Public Defender Claims Cop Shooter Hid Because He Was Afraid Of Police Brutality

A public defender tried to argue that his client, a black male, was hiding from cops after shooting at them because he was scared of police brutality. He referenced the recent deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner in order to prove his point.

But the judge wasn’t having it. The Broward County judge, John Hurley, lost his cool as the publc defender, Dale Miller, tried to argue his case.

“We’ve got a young man, I don’t care what color he is, he’s in a neighborhood he doesn’t live in at 1:41 in the morning, hiding under somebody’s dock in the water with a holster on after a police officer had a shot taken at him,” the judge snapped at Miller.

The defense did not hold up, and the accused shooter was jailed with a $100,000 bond.
