Our servicemen and women often don’t get the recognition they deserve. However, one airline company is doing their part to right this injustice.
Delta Airlines’s baggage handlers recently held a vigil in Atlanta to honor a serviceman and his K9 companion who died in the line of duty to an improvised explosive device. The memorial was held directly on the tarmac, complete with American flags and salutes all around.
Huge airline companies like Delta are often viewed as soulless. However, Delta has made it obvious that this is not the case. The two soldiers will be dearly missed by their families, and displays like these let their brothers and sisters in arms know that their sacrifices were not in vain.
