This could be one of life’s most challenging issues: peeling a hard boil egg without leaving pieces of the shell behind.
Chef David J. Alvarez demonstrates the easiest way to crack open a hard boil egg in just seconds and once you see it you’ll never go back to the old way again.
The first step is letting the eggs sit in the fridge with a small amount of water in the bowl. According to the Chef, it’s easier to peel this way. Then you take the egg out, one quick pound on a surface, and roll it once on the table. After that you should be able to simply pull the shell right off. Eggcellent.
