You’ll Never Struggle To Open Another Jar After Seeing This Quick Tip

Have you ever been in your kitchen trying to open a jar of tomato sauce when suddenly the jar slipped from your grip and wound up on the ground in pieces? If you answered yes, don’t be embarrassed! It’s happened to all of us at least once.

Luckily this video by Kari Byron, courtesy of American express, shows a quick and easy to open stubborn jar tops with no risk factor! All you need is a thick, blunt object like a knife handle, and a jar (obviously)

To do the trick, all you need to do is firmly tap the rim of the jar with the blunt object. You want to make sure that you’re hitting the rim of the jar and not the jar itself or you run the risk of cracking it.

Make taps all around the circumference of the lid and your jar should open. No tape, hot water, or banging on the bottom of the jar required. If you’re looking for more quick tips like these, take a look at their youtube channel.
