It was fifty years ago when Sally met the love of her life. It was the glorious sixties, and in San Diego, flower power was all the rage.
She spotted him from across a crowded room. His ebony hair cascaded in magnificent tresses down broad shoulders. But that was a long time ago, and age catches up to us all.
Fun After Fifty shared this funny story about how one woman deals with a great loss.
Here’s what happened.
Seeing her friend Sally wearing a new locket, Meg asks if there is a memento of some sort inside.
“Yes,” says Sally, “a lock of my husband’s hair.”
“But Larry’s still alive.”
“I know, but his hair is gone.”
He must have had some head of hair! She probably even wrote an obituary for the loss of such a glorious mane.
May she be protected in her time of mourning…
