USA! USA! USA! –wait, what? This happened in Canada?
It was a Toronto Maple Leafs game against the Nashville Predators. Before the game could start, both Canadian and United States anthems must be sung, but our anthem was cut short due to technical difficulties. But that’s okay because that’s when the best part comes in.
The fans, the majority of which are Canadian, proudly and beautifully finished the anthem themselves. It really brings a feeling of camaraderie between our neighbors in the north.
Thanks, Canada, you’re the hat of the United States and you finish our anthems. You also make the best maple syrup but Maine comes close!
