Lots of really fun and exciting things can happen in college. You can make friends that’ll last you a lifetime, or find the person who you’re going to marry. But these two ladies got a surprise that no one saw coming.
The two women’s names are Lizzie Valverde and Katie Olsen. They were in the same class during orientation and Lizzie mentioned that she was adopted. When Katie heard this, she knew she had to look into it. Upon further investigation, Katie found out that Lizzie was indeed her long lost sister.
Both women were put up for adoption when they were small and were adopted by different families. The odds of this happening are extremely small. It’s even smaller when you consider that Lizzie grew up in New Jersey, while Katie grew up in Florida and Iowa.
It just goes to show that you should follow your gut. If Katie hadn’t said anything, the two of them could’ve sat next to each other all semester with no idea that they were sisters!
