Thanks to the power of social media, two dogs in a shelter, who were only days away from being put down, have been rescued and will enjoy life at a forever home together.
This photo was posted by the Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) shelter when they took in the two dogs.
When they were finally placed together, they formed a precious bond, comforting each other and refusing to leave the other’s side.
The heart gripping photo of the new friendship went viral on social media, getting shared thousands of times.
After seeing the photos on Facebook, a Florida native stepped in and adopted the two just days before they were scheduled to be euthanized, naming them Zeus and Ares. They were there for each other in perhaps their darkest hours, now they’ll be able to enjoy life together, happily.
