Two Boys Perform A Duet And When They Open Their Mouths It’s Hard To Stop Laughing

Two boys from a French boy’s choir perform a duet called ‘Duetto buffo di due gatti’, which is also known as The Funny Duet For Two Cats.

The piece was written in the 1800s, and has been attributed to Gioachino Rossini as the composer.

Once you hear the lyrics it’s not hard to figure out how it got it’s name. It’s literally one word, and can probably be performed by actual cats (although not well as this choir duet.)

One of the boys in this old recording, Regis Menus, actually went on to become a world renown Opera singer.

Despite the funny lyrics, the performance is wonderful. It’s something you could put on and let your worries slip away. You could even say it’s rather cathartic.
