This baby is learning about the word ‘no’ for the first time. Not in the sense we might be thinking, where the baby learns how to say ‘no’ and excitingly repeat the word over and over again. No, this is a little different.
A mother is spending time with her baby boy as we plays and explores. The little tyke scoots his way onto the marble table and over towards a glass of water.
This is where the ‘no!’ comes in.
As the baby reaches for the glass, his mother yells “No!”. This only confuses the baby for a second as he reaches for the glass again.
“No!” she screams again. The infant begins to catch on, but still doesn’t understand. As far as he knows, “reaching for the glass makes Mommy do funny!”
He’s not wrong, the instance is hilarious and probably the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.
