There is little that can get in the way of a motherly bond, especially for little Cooper who hasn’t seen his mother in 9 months. Cathryn Waldvegol, Cooper’s mother, had been away serving in Afghanistan in this time, along with her husband, leaving Cooper alone.
When she and her team finally arrived home, they were given specific instructions not to greet any loved ones for it would take too much time. Instead, they were to stand in formation, as instructed by their sergeant. But little Cooper had plans different plans.
He decided that 9 months was a long enough wait to hug his mother and ran right up to the soldier, who gladly ignored regulation and embraced her son. No repercussions occurred which goes to show that little can get in the way of a child’s love for his mother.
