Onions; they’re never fun to cut. Gases are released as you slice the onion which mix with the water in your eyes which is what causes us to tear up every time.
There are a few things one can do to prevent this, like cutting the onions near a fan, or wearing protective goggles. That’s all well and good, but sometimes you just gotta power through it.
Like this Indian man who claims he cuts onions faster than a blender. Does this man have time to cry? Not when he’s cutting that fast.
The most impressive thing isn’t the speed in which he cuts, but his precision; he never misses a slice. If I were in his shoes, I’d probably lose more than a few fingers.
