You probably know the time-tested method of licking the battery. Well, aside from the taste of metal and plastic, this test isn’t all that great. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. This test works 100% of the time with any kind of battery in any size ranging from AAA TO D.
The test is simple. Just drop the battery onto its flat negative (-) side on any stable surface. If it bounces and falls over, its bad. If it stands up straight, its good!
