Activities are always more fun when you do them with a buddy, as California surfer Dan Murphy found out!
Dan was floating out in the California waves one morning waiting for the perfect wave. Suddenly, he felt something come pop up behind him! Normally, this would be the start of a scary shark film, but luckily for Dan that was not the case.
The menacing sea creature that popped up behind him was a baby sea lion!
The sea lion just wanted to spend some time with Dan and get a few hugs.
Dan even let the Sea Lion ride with him on the surfboard for an hour.
However, all good things must come to an end. Things got tearful when it was time for Dan to return to dry land. But he’ll probably run into the creature again some day. Even if he doesn’t, at least he’s got a new, fun story that he can tell at social events.
