Let’s be honest, the government isn’t what it used to be. To demonstrate the differences, SNL has come up with a skit parodying Schoolhouse Rock’s “I’m just a bill.”
They couldn’t have picked a better song. Anyone born during and after 1975 has learned the process a bill must take in order to become a law. Countless children through many generations have learned from this song, but with Executive Orders, all of that becomes moot.
