Entertainer and professional ventriloquist Nina Conti needed a volunteer for her next performance, one that she’s sure no one would volunteer for.
So she picked a young man from the audience by the name of Walter and proceeds to put a mask on him.
Attached to the back of the mask is a string which she uses to control the mouth’s movements and give Walter the illusion of speaking. She begins to coax Walter into dancing, which is something he doesn’t seem to want to do.
The opposition of his body language to what “he” is saying leaves Conti and audience members alike cracking up. What he does towards the end seals it all.
