Sherlock The Dog Helps Customers Find Lost Belongings

If you’ve ever traveled by plane, you know how much of a pain in a neck it can be. The loading process takes forever, maybe your flight was delayed, maybe some guy has fallen asleep on your shoulder and he’s drooling down your arm, to top it off, you’ve left your cell phone behind on the plane. You’d probably be pretty peeved, right?

Getting your lost item back isn’t easy either. You usually have to deal with a tired, cranky, employee who doesn’t care about your problem, keeping you waiting as they “search” for your belonging. Well, Royal Dutch airlines has a new way of returning lost items. Enter Sherlock, a beagle, with a miraculous chorus.

Sherlock is given an object, which was left behind, and sniffs out the owners with his astute canine senses. He then runs as fast as his little legs will allow, running through crowds, over the luggage carousel, returning lost toys and electronics, that are kept in his pouch, and spreading joy.

“Personally, I think he’s a real asset to the company,” said KLM employee Chantel Kremer, “and he can really do something no one else can.”

“Sherlock trains for muscle strength, endurance and of course socialization,”explained Dirk van Driel, Sherlock’s trainer.

It’s sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. This little guy is so cute he’ll have you leaving your belongings behind just for a visit. It sure is a great way to end the day at the airport.
