When Teresa Adams and her, Tommy, where on the way home from the DMV, she was frightened when her son abruptly asked for her to stop the vehicle.
She was confused at his request and later told told CB6 News reporters:
“I got scared and asked ‘what’s wrong?’”
His response? He saw an elderly man on a walker trying to shovel his own driveway, and wanted to help out. He approached the man, asked for the shovel, and began shoveling the driveway.
Teresa was taken aback at her son’s actions and proudly snapped a photo that later went viral on social media.
The mother said she was so proud of her son that she started to cry. Tommy shoveled the thick snow and went back on his way, without even catching the old man’s name.
When asked about his kind deed, the high school student said: “I try to do good for the elderly because one day I may need help too”
