She Banned Muslims From Entering Her Business. What Happened Five Months Later, Nobody Saw Coming.

A gun range owner in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Jan Morgan, declared that all Muslims are banned from her shooting range. Her decision, which was made in September, has seen much backlash from the Muslim community and other organizations.

One would expect Morgan to go through law suits and potentially lose business over this, but the opposite has happened. Five months later, there’s been no major legal issues and business is apparently booming.

According to Morgan, business has nearly quadrupled since she declared it a Muslim-free zone.

In a chance to explain her reasoning, Morgan said the following,

“The Koran (which I have read and studied thoroughly) and (which muslims align themselves with), contains 109 verses commanding hate, murder and terror against all human beings who refuse to submit or convert to Islam.”

She also addressed the legality of her decision, which stems from her right as a firearms dealer to exercise discretion over any potential sale:

“I have a federal firearms license… The ATF informed us when we received the license that if we feel ANY reason for concern about selling someone a firearm, even sense that something is not right about an individual, or if we are concerned about that person’s mental state, even if they pass a background check, we do not have to sell that person a gun.

Though there are plenty of people who disagree with her actions, there are also plenty of people who support her.

As of now, no law suits have been brought forth and Morgan continues to fight for her beliefs.
