A Man Finds A Handwritten Note From His Wife Of 60 Years, Just Days After She Passes Away

Jimmy and Billie Breland were happily in love and married for over 60 years before time claimed Billie’s life earlier in the month. But love transcends time in surprising ways.

Billie would write letters, it was sort of “her thing”. Before she passed, she wrote one last letter and put it in her check book for her husband to find. They don’t know when she wrote it, but it read “Please don’t cry because I died! Smile because I lived! Know that I’m in a happy place! Know that we will meet again! I’ll see you there!”

Jimmy showed the letter to his grandaughter, a journalist named Cliff Sims. She shared the info and photo on Facebook and it grew from there, receiving over 1,000 “likes” and over 200 shares.

It’s love like this that makes growing old a little less frightening.
