Food tips are always a welcomed source of information, especially when they’re how to keep your food preserved for a longer amount of time.
Take the avocado for instance. Leave it out for too long and it starts to turn brown. There’s nothing harmful about the browning but some people might find it unappetizing. Brent Rose from About.com might have the solution.
Rose sets it up like an elementary school science experiment. One avocado has nothing done to it, acting as the control, while the rest are applied with a variation of solutions like olive oil, water, lemon juice, onions and a plastic baggie.
