A bank robbery took place in Largo, Florida, but was soon foiled by a mixed martial arts fighter.
Michael Jon Neubecker entered a Grow Financial last Friday and handed the clerk a note. The note indicated his intentions to rob the place and the clerk consent to him.
He almost got away with it until MMA fighter Eric Haritakis stepped in and took the robber down.
“I saw the right time and I realized that if he had a weapon that he would have drawn it already. I just timed it right and took him down,” He told WFTS-TV.
The fighter took the robber and held him down in front of the bank. A neighboring business owner helped Haritakis by supplying him with duct tape which was used to hog tie the criminal.
The police later arrived and charged Neubecker with unarmed robbery.
