This may look like an ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but take one bite out of it and you’ll notice it’s not so ordinary…nor a sandwich.
It’s actually a cake! An original cake from Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio.
The baker, Jenn Johns used a peanut butter cake as the ‘bread’, made with eggs, butter, sugar, sour cream, and of course, peanut butter.
Then she made a raspberry fruit filling to act as the jelly of the sandwich. The filling was made with sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. A peanut butter frosting accompanied the fruit filling to complete the ‘sandwich’.
It’s a great recipe to use as an April Fool’s prank or to bring a creative flair to a party.
