Judge Holds Nothing Back, Tells Defendant: “I Hope You Die In Jail”

A 31 year old woman named Camia Gamet was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole. Officials say that her boyfriend Marcel Hill was murdered by Gamet via several stab wounds in various parts of his body with a filet knife.

When one of Hill’s aunts came to the stand to testify, Gamet was seen being generally dismissive and remorseless. This reaction caused Judge John McBain to have an explosive, and arguably justified, emotional outburst.

The Judge’s outburst focused on the fact that Gamet stabbed her boyfriend eleven times and doesn’t seem to outwardly regret it in the least. The Judge even said that ” if this was a death penalty state, you’d be getting the chair.”

The court erupted into applause after the Judge made his ruling, but some parties have scrutinized him for his actions. Many say that Judges who can’t be in complete control have no place in the courtroom.

While his opinion on the case is justified, do you think his outburst was necessary? Let us know in the comments!
