Hillary Clinton Wants Equal Pay For Women, But A Look At Her Payroll Shows A Different Story

As Hillary Clinton prepares for a likely presidential run, equal pay for woman is expected to be a big focus of her campaign. She recently tweeted about the male to female pay gap over the last 20 years:

The only problem is, her words seem to counter her actions.

According to data uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon, the annual salary for a male staffer during Clinton’s senate career was $56,499.93, while a female was earning only $40,791.55. That’s means female staffers were paid, on average, 72% of what their male counterparts were paid, which was a bigger discrepancy than the national average.

Politicians who run on an issue, should also support it through their actions, not just words. It looks like Hillary will have some explaining to do come campaign time.
