Here’s Why Madonna Just Compared Modern Day Europe To Nazi Germany

Madonna isn’t the first person to come to mind when thinking about politics and human morale, which just goes to show not to judge a book by its cover.

On a French radio show, Modonna talks about her career, what her songs mean, a hacker who’s apparently been a thorn in her side for a decade, but most importantly, she speaks her mind about the Chris Hebdo incident and gives her support.

She also talks about the apparent rise of antisemitism happening in France and all of Europe.

“France was once a country that accepted people of color. It was once a place where artists escaped to…[she describes a list of artists, painters and writers] and that encouraged freedom in every shape or form… now it’s completely gone.” she explained.

She’s even gone as far as to say how frightened she is by the current intolerance, relating it to Nazi Germany.
