He Pours Cream On A Chocolate Dessert And The Result? I Did Not See That Coming.

The video shows what appears to be a small flower bud made of chocolate. Hot cream is poured around the base of the chocolate creation. As the cream heats the small chocolate petals peel off and bloom like a flower. Inside are berries and custard arranged to look like the inside of a flower. The creation seems to bud like magic.

The secret is that the hot cream expands the chocolate flower petals and pushes the bud open.

The creation was made by chef Joaquin Sousa who works at the Hotel the Oitavos in Lisbon. He specializes in making surreal and magical desserts that push the boundaries of the imagination.
