One firefighter believes every life, no matter what species, is sacred and does whatever he can to save a dying dog.
After pulling a woman to safety from a burning house in Virginia, firefighter Josh Moore went right back into the blazing building to save the woman’s dog, Keiser. When Moore found the German Shepard mix, he was already on the brink of death.
The dog was charred, motionless and not breathing very well. He strapped an adult size oxygen mask to the snout of the dog that was already in respiratory distress.
After 5-8 minutes of the dog lying their motionless, he finally got a response as the dog started to wag its tail. Keiser was taken to an animal hospital and was released 2 days after while his owner remains in the hospital with 2nd degree burns.
As a result of this event, one paramedic who was on the scene with Moore ordered special oxygen masks designed for animals. Moore is considered a hero for what he did. If it weren’t for him, the pup surely would have died.
