Kansas City resident, Debbie Davis, was driving down the roadway when she noticed an empty officer motor bike parked on the side of the road.
That was when she noticed the Kansas City police officer sitting down on the cold grass with two frightened dogs who had lost their way. The officer stayed there with them, petting them, comforting them, and protecting them until the Humane Society arrived.
Davis was impressed that the officer stayed with them instead of just calling it in so she made sure to take a few photos of the scene and share the man’s kindness with the world wide web.
Locals are now calling this man a hero for what he’s done, but the officer humbly wishes to remain anonymous.
Through the photos Davis took, the owners of the husky and the shepard mix, Ashley and Austin Mozingo, were able to find their dogs and return them home.
It’s kindness like that which helps us to remember the good in people.
