After waiting for 20 democrats to get back to their seat, Virginia Republican Jackson Miller, initiated a vote to support the national of Israel with House Joint Resolution No. 659. This is what he said:
I move for another vote now that about 20 members are back in their seats.
The problem? Just moments afterwards, they decided to get up and exit the room again when it was time voice their vote on the matters.
That’s alright. The 20 members are leaving again, Mr. Speaker.
Not agreeing on a bill is one thing, but running away when it comes time to vote? Flat our cowardly. As Speaker William J. Howell put it: “That’s called a profile in courage.” And boy he was spot on.
